North Central College
North Central College Archives houses three collections: the College Archives, the Harris W. Fawell Congressional Papers, and the Suburban Studies Archives.
The North Central College Archives collects, organizes, describes, preserves and makes available for research materials on the history of the College and the local area as related to the College. It houses records relating to subjects such as the college community; college business, including operation and administration; curriculum; and college programs and activities.
North Central College is also the official repository for the Congressional Papers of Harris W. Fawell. Elected in 1984, Mr. Fawell served 14 years in the U.S. House of Representatives from Illinois' 13th District, before retiring at the conclusion of the 105th Congress. The papers reflect the operation of Fawell's two Congressional Offices as well as his service on the Committee on Science, Space, and Technology; the Committee on Education and Labor; and the Select Committee on Aging.
The Suburban Studies Archives at North Central College seeks to preserve and make available historical records that relate to the physical, economic, and political transformation of the west suburban region since 1945. Collections in the Suburban Studies Archives include the Illinois Prairie Path Archives, the records of the League of Women Voters – Naperville, and the American Association of University Women Naperville Branch records
