CCC participates in conferences in U.S. and abroad 

CCC was proud to participate in the 2024 National Council on Public History Annual Conference, held in Salt Lake City, Utah April 8-14.

The NCPH Annual Conference brought together almost 800 historians, librarians, museum staff, educators, and exhibitors.

CCC portal manager Jessica BrodeFrank participated in the poster presentations, with hundreds in attendance. Attendees were able to learn more about the EXPLORE Chicago Collections portal, as well as information about CCC's digital exhibits, virtual programs, and curricula guides.

More broadly, CCC was able to share its unique consortial model with attendees - many of whom were interested in replicating this design in their own city, and some of whom expressed interest in sharing their Chicago centric-collections to CCC. 

Next, Jessica will be in attendance at the upcoming American Alliance of Museums Annual Meeting and Museum Expo in Baltimore, MD this May 16-19, 2024.

If you are in attendance please stop by the Museum Expo Hall on Friday, May 17, 10:00 am - 5:30 pm and Saturday, May 18, 9:30 am - 5:30 pm to see CCC's "Connecting Community in Chicago: Maintaining a Citywide Consortium" poster; a 10 minute presentation will also occur on Friday May 17th from 12:40-12:50 pm as part of the Poster Showcase. 

Following AAM, Jessica will be presenting at the 7th Biennale Association of Critical Heritage Studies Conference, in Galway, Ireland, June 3-6, 2024. As part of the roundtable discussion, "Community Centered Heritage: Bridging Belonging and Responsibility in Collaborative Custodianship," held on Tuesday, June 4th, Jessica will present on CCC's digital offerings with a talk, "Engaging a Community through Iterative Content Design."
