February 10, 2018: A Collaborative Future for Libraries, Museums, and More: Chicago Collections and Lifelong Learning Across the Community (Symposium on the Future of Libraries)
Join us at ALA Midwinter for a presentation by Dr. Scott Walter, University Librarian at DePaul University. As a member of the Board of Directors for Chicago Collections, Dr. Walter, will be presenting on the collective nature of the Chicago Collections Consortium, and the impact collaboration can have on local communities.
March 21 - 24, 2018: The annual Midwest Archives Conference (MAC) gathers archivists, curators, and library professionals from across the Midwest to discuss preservation and accessibility of historical objects. This year, Kate Flynn, Gretchen Neidhardt, Rachel Shaevel, members of CCC's Digital Exhibit team, will be presenting Knee Deep in the Hoopla: We Built This Digital Exhibit Workflow on Rock and Roll (and Collaboration). Their presentation will share the workflows and process involved in the creation of CCC's first digital exhibit that launched in the fall of 2017: The Sporting Life: Stories from Chicago Collections Archives.
