Gaylord and Dorothy Donnelley Foundation awards Chicago Collections Consortium $25,000 Grant
Supporting access to regionally-focused collections
Continuing to support the work of the Chicago Collections Consortium, the Gaylord and Dorothy Donnelley Foundation has approved a one-year grant totaling $25,000 to support general operations and participation in the collections advisory group. The award supports the infrastructure for innovative, collaborative projects to improve public access to Chicago-area collections. Jeanne Long, Chicago Collections Consortium Executive Director stated, "It remains an honor to be recognized by the Gaylord and Dorothy Donnelley Foundation. The continued funding support will enable Chicago Collections Consortium to further its mission while maintaining a strong organizational structure.”
The collections advisory group also provides the opportunity for more cutting edge work and leadership for the Consortium. Long said, “I look forward to participating on the collections advisory group with my esteemed colleagues from the BMRC (Black Metropolis Research Consortium) and the Chicago Cultural Alliance."
